"Modern wife" explores acute social problems through the illustration of American housewives in the 50s.
The figure of «ideal» 50s housewife can be called the personification of the basic society values - stability, order, family well-being. They are always in a good mood, never get tired and never become morose or thoughtful. Just the process of doing laundry or preparing food can make them truly happy.
But, actually, that's not true.
Our story is about strong, confident women that are on the verge of insanity because of the pressure of the canons of beauty, gender inequality and the endless routine of housewife’s life. Each of them has its own story. What makes them happy, by the way? Denying of problem or apprehension of revenge? We’ll see.
